Jeff Myers is an Associate Director for Corporate Relations at MSU Business-CONNECT, part of the Michigan State University Innovation Center. MSU Business-CONNECT facilitates research partnerships, supports entrepreneurs, and promotes research-based economic development in Michigan communities.
Guangming joined MSU Business-CONNECT in October of 2011 as an Information Management Analyst. He provides strategic recommendations and consulting for information technology to the Innovation Center and maintains a variety of business software including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Inteum. In addition to supporting the software databases, he configures these systems and trains staff on program usage. Additionally, he provides assistance to staff with need of data retrieval and analysis from MSU campus-wide systems such as CGA/OSP proposal/grant data warehouses.
Charlene joined MSU Business-CONNECT in 2011 as a Projects Accountant. Prior to her employment at MSU, she was the Deputy Treasurer of Meridian Township. She has over 25 years of experience in accounting, including both public and governmental, plus an extensive background in the banking industry.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Michigan State University, along with two years of study in the medical field.
Randy manages contractual and administrative activities related to industry sponsored agreements for Business-CONNECT. Randy works with MSU faculty, associate directors of Business-CONNECT and program administrators to help ensure that sponsored agreements are consistent with the objectives of our faculty, Business-CONNECT and the mission of MSU. He works with MSU departments, colleges and administrative units to develop procedures designed to facilitate efficiency in administrative functions of MSU.
Marta was the second person hired at MSU Business-CONNECT. She was hired as the Executive Staff Assistant to the Director in November 2009. As the Executive Staff Assistant, Marta is responsible for providing Confidential Administrative Support to the Business-CONNECT Executive Team (Director and two Associate Directors). She manages calendars, receives incoming inquiries for the management team, processes payroll and handles the overall management of the department.
Tina works with MSU’s faculty and the Associate Directors of Business-CONNECT to negotiate and ensure publication rights and intellectual property of MSU’s faculty are protected and fairly represented within sponsored industry agreements.
Prior to working at MSU Business-CONNECT, Tina was the senior Contract Manager for Federal grants and human services funding for the City of Lansing, bringing with her ten years of government public policy experience within the workforce development regulatory industry.
Brice is a founding member of MSU Business-CONNECT and is responsible for enabling and encouraging productive relationships between MSU and the private sector. In this role Brice serves as MSU’s front door for corporations, directs businesses to the right MSU resources and enables two-way strategic communications and planning for business customers.
Charles A. Hasemann, PhD, Assistant Vice President for Innovation and Economic Development at the Michigan State University Innovation Center, earned his doctorate in Molecular Immunology and performed his post-doctoral training in X-ray Crystallography. As an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, he established an NIH-funded laboratory studying immune system-related protein structure and function.
