MSU alumna and 20 year business veteran Patti Glaza visited the MSU’s Conquer Accelerator last week as a pitch coach to the Conquer student startup teams.
Professionally, Glaza manages venture funds and works heavily in development, implementation and commercialization of advanced technologies as the Vice President and Managing Director at Invest Detroit. With this background in mind, she worked with Conquer students for an entire day, encouraging them and mentoring them in the art of startup pitching.
Her visit highlighted the seventh week of the second season of the Conquer Accelerator program at MSU, a ten-week intensive business incubator for startups looking to join MSU’s growing ecosystem. Startup teams selected to participate in the summer program receive $20k in investment funding in addition to weekly mentoring and support from a robust day-today curriculum and supportive Spartan Innovations staff members. Mentors for this year’s Conquer Accelerator includes business executives, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and creatives from a wide spectrum of industries.
Glaza is just one of many Spartan alumni who have promised to return to future Conquer seasons, and the Accelerator is always looking for more—interested in becoming a Conquer mentor? Email Chris Sell, Director of Alumni & Entrepreneur Engagement at MSU, at email@example.com
