Brice is a founding member of MSU Business-CONNECT and is responsible for enabling and encouraging productive relationships between MSU and the private sector. In this role Brice serves as MSU’s front door for corporations, directs businesses to the right MSU resources and enables two-way strategic communications and planning for business customers.
Prior to joining MSU, Brice had a very productive career bridging the relationship between corporations and universities. He was the Principle Research Advisor at Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, where one of his responsibilities was building relationships and appropriate agreements for global Toyota to work with universities and national labs in North America. He was also a technology manager at the University of Michigan and the Ohio State University, where his responsibilities included packaging and managing patent portfolios and finding appropriate corporate licensees and development partners.
Brice earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Miami University and a master’s degree in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Illinois. Despite his enjoyment of bench based research he transitioned to managing research relationships soon after earning his MBA at the University of Illinois.
