Holland-based Jolt Energy Storage Technologies is close to raising $5.6 million in Series A funding to commercialize its innovative, low-cost energy storage technology. The company has already secured $4.2 million in commitments and expects to complete the round by summer’s end. Jolt Energy’s solution uses organic compounds instead of expensive metals, potentially revolutionizing large-scale energy storage for utilities and alternative energy sources. The funding will support developing a prototype for deployment next year.
