West Michigan Protein Pints to hit nationwide store shelves soon

Childhood friends Paul Reiss and Mike Meadows have transformed their passion for ice cream into a rapidly expanding business venture called Protein Pints. What began in 2022 as homemade protein ice cream crafted in Reiss’s parents’ kitchen in Hudsonville has evolved into a successful brand now poised for national distribution. After starting with just one Meijer store in 2023 and expanding to 14 locations in 2024, Protein Pints is preparing to launch in approximately 1,800 Kroger stores across the United States. The MSU startup continues to develop new flavors at Grand Rapids’ Downtown Market, where they first started hand-packing their unique protein-infused ice cream, with coffee and cookies and cream varieties on the horizon.
