Julia Miller is an Innovation Manager with MSU Technologies. She works with faculty and researchers in agriculture, natural science and life science departments to evaluate and protect intellectual property and pursue commercial partnerships that bring new innovations to market.
Julia joined MSU Technologies in 2020 as an AgBio Technology Transfer Fellow. She began her technology transfer career as an intern with Cornell University’s Center for Technology Licensing, focusing on technology evaluation and marketing.
Julia earned Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Biology and Genomics & Molecular Genetics from Michigan State University in 2014 and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Cornell University in 2020. She is a member of AUTM, the professional society for academic technology transfer professional. Outside of work, Julia enjoys photography, botanizing, and bird watching with her husband, and spending time with their four cats.
