Randy manages contractual and administrative activities related to MSU collaborations with for-profit entities for Business Connect. Randy is the supervisor for the research administration staff responsible for finalizing and effectuating contracts, budgets and other transactional documents to help ensure that sponsored agreements are consistent with the objectives of our faculty, Business Connect and the mission of MSU. He works with MSU departments, colleges and administrative units to develop procedures designed to facilitate efficiency in administrative functions of MSU. Randy is the primary contact for all for-profit entities sponsoring clinical research/trials and exercises signature authority on behalf of MSU for all for-profit sponsored agreements.
Randy joined Business Connect in 2009 and has over 19 years of experience negotiating sponsored agreements on behalf of MSU. Before coming to MSU, he was an attorney in private practice and has a broad array of experience in litigation and business law. Randy graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science and received his Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law in 1997.
