Caitlin Jost, J.D.

Caitlin is the Intellectual Property Law Fellow at MSU Technologies, where she focuses on intellectual property, technology transfer, and licensing matters.  Caitlin earned her Bachelor of Arts in History form Henderson State University, and followed up with a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law in 2016. 

Jeanine Tomko

In support of Michigan State Researchers, Jeanine works with the MTA/CDA Coordinator to receive, record, analyze, execute and maintain electronic documents and records for Material Transfer Agreements (MTA) and Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA) with universities and companies, both domestic and international.

Nina Isi Davis

Nina joined the MSU Technologies team as Technology Marketing Manager in February 2016. She is developing marketing strategies to promote commercialization of the University’s intellectual property. Dedicated to building strong relationships with technology leaders in the industry, Nina’s goal is to facilitate the transfer of groundbreaking MSU technologies to innovative companies.

Marcia Fittro

Marcia joined MSUT in the fall of 2015. As Secretary/Receptionist, she assists the Technology Managers coordinating meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.

She also provides support to the MSUT Executive Management Team, and covers the front desk, welcoming our visitors and guests with a friendly smile.

Marcia attended Lansing Community College, and has 15 years of experience as a public relations receptionist and staff support.

Karen Studer-Rabeler

Karen Studer-Rabeler joined the MSU Technologies team in May 2015.  She serves as the Commercialization Program Director for the MTRAC Program for the MSU Innovation Center. She leads this translational research program in facilitating the commercialization of technologies developed from MSU research. 

Angelia VanWoert

In August of 2013, Angelia began her career at MSU Technologies as an IP Finance Assistant.  She records, analyzes and maintains detailed financial records for MSU agreements concerning Intellectual Property under the supervision of the IP Finance Coordinator.

Reanee Unger

Reanee Unger joined MSU Technologies in July 2013, and serves as the Intellectual Property Administrator, specializing in patent portfolio management.

With more than 10 years of experience as a lead paralegal in the area of intellectual property, Unger shares her domestic and foreign patent prosecution expertise with MSU's tech transfer office. She received her professional experience working alongside some of MSU’s highly respected intellectual property lawyers, representing MSU before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Jean Zwier

Jean has managed material transfer agreements (MTA) and confidential disclosure agreements (CDA) for MSU Technologies since October 2010. As the MTA/CDA coordinator, she reviews, negotiates, and processes these agreements per Michigan State University policy and communicates with campus departments to ensure compliance requirements are met.

Jean has worked in higher education for a number of years. Prior to coming to MSU, among other positions, she worked as an administrator for the joint venture Institute Teknologi Mara/MUCIA/Indiana University Program in Malaysia.

Ann Spalding

Ann has been the agreement and compliance coordinator at MSU Technologies since February 2008. She works with the technology managers to manage license agreements and monitors compliance with reporting and other requirements that might require follow-up with licensees. She oversees the MIIE grant program and the MSU Targeted Support Grants for Technology Development (TSGTD) funded through the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies.
