Keith Rouse ll joined the MSU Innovation Center as the Prospecting & Strategy Analyst in March 2020. Prior to MSU, Keith worked at Baudville Brands, Inc. as a Digital Acquisitions Manager, where he led digital eCommerce sales growth with a focus on SEO, paid search and other digital marketing activities. He also worked at KMC Global as the Director of Marketing, Memorial Healthcare as the Marketing & Public Relations Manager, and the Lansing State Journal as the Senior Marketing Manager. Keith graduated from MSU in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Jeff Myers is the Director of Corporate Relations at MSU Business Connect, part of the Michigan State University Innovation Center. MSU Business Connect facilitates research partnerships with corporations, supports start up entrepreneurs and promotes research-based economic development in Michigan communities.
Guangming joined MSU Business Connect in October of 2011 as an Information Management Analyst. He provides strategic recommendations and consulting for information technology to the Innovation Center and maintains a variety of business software including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Inteum. In addition to supporting the software databases, he configures these systems and trains staff on program usage. Additionally, he provides assistance to staff with need of data retrieval and analysis from MSU campus-wide systems such as CGA/OSP proposal/grant data warehouses.
Charlene joined MSU Business Connect in 2011 as a Projects Accountant. Prior to her employment at MSU, she was the Deputy Treasurer of Meridian Township. She has over 25 years of experience in accounting, including both public and governmental, plus an extensive background in the banking industry.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Michigan State University, along with two years of study in the medical field.
Randy manages contractual and administrative activities related to MSU collaborations with for-profit entities for Business Connect. Randy is the supervisor for the research administration staff responsible for finalizing and effectuating contracts, budgets and other transactional documents to help ensure that sponsored agreements are consistent with the objectives of our faculty, Business Connect and the mission of MSU. He works with MSU departments, colleges and administrative units to develop procedures designed to facilitate efficiency in administrative functions of MSU.
Marta was the second person hired at MSU Business Conenct. She was hired as the Executive Staff Assistant to the Director in November 2009. As the Executive Staff Assistant, Marta is responsible for providing Confidential Administrative Support to the Business Conenct Executive Team (Director and two Associate Directors). She manages calendars, receives incoming inquiries for the management team, processes payroll and handles the overall management of the department.
Tina joined MSU Business Connect in 2012. Tina works with MSU’s faculty, department and unit program administration, MSU regulatory offices, MSU-T, and the Associate Directors of Business Connect in the negotiation and drafting of clinical trial and industry-sponsored research agreements to ensure contractual terms are fairly represented and in compliance with applicable MSU policy. Tina is the primary contact for industry-sponsored fee-for-service agreements.
Brice is a founding member of MSU Business Connect and is responsible for enabling and encouraging productive relationships between MSU and the private sector. In this role Brice serves as MSU’s front door for corporations, directs businesses to the right MSU resources and enables two-way strategic communications and planning for business customers.
Charles A. Hasemann, Ph.D., Assistant Vice President for Innovation and Economic Development at the Michigan State University Innovation Center, earned his doctorate in Molecular Immunology and performed his post-doctoral training in X-ray Crystallography. As an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, he established an NIH-funded laboratory studying immune system-related protein structure and function.
